Synthesis
It has been a great experience to close out my studies within the NLGL Program as while simultaneously finishing my sixth year of teaching. The greatest understanding that I will be taking away from these two years is that education should not be a stagnant entity. We must continuously rely on those around us. Teaching and learning are moving targets and we must move along with them.
Technology is a tool that cannot be swept aside because you are hesitant to use it. We are educating students whose lives are intertwined and often rely on it. We are educating students who are individuals who often need individual attention. We must begin to gather as much information as we can to address those individual needs. Finally, we are tasked with ensuring that these students are properly progressing. Assessment is a tool that is no longer useful if we rely only on pencil and paper.
